Officers are appealing for information after a serious collision on Ashton Road in Hyde.
Greater Manchester Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is appealing for information after a woman was left with life-threatening injuries following a hit-and-run incident in Hyde.
The collision occurred on Saturday 29 November, at around 6pm, on Ashton Road, just beyond the junction with Lodge Lane. Officers say a woman in her 40s was struck by an unknown vehicle while walking in the area. The driver failed to stop at the scene.
The victim was taken to hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment for serious and potentially life-threatening injuries.
A spokesperson for the SCIU confirmed that enquiries are ongoing to trace the vehicle and driver involved. Investigators are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who was travelling along Ashton Road around the time of the collision, to get in touch.
The appeal also extends to anyone who may have dashcam footage, saw the vehicle before the collision, or has any other information that could assist the investigation.
