Police are hunting for a thug who spat at a schoolboy.
The youngster was walking home from school when he became involved in a row with an adult man on Uplands Road, Whitfield.
The adult swore at the schoolboy and followed him onto Gladstone Street, where he spat at him.
A woman passer-by in a car is believed to have witnessed the incident and spoke to the boy who explained what had happened.
Now police are appealing for her to come forward.
