Forensics were at the scene on Yew Tree Road after the man was found with serious injuries and was rushed to hospital.
Police and paramedics were on the scene at around 3:10pm Wednesday 2nd April.
Witnesses reported seeing ‘blood in the road’ before the man was taken to hospital for treatment.
The area was cordoned off with residents unable to leave or return to their homes in vehicles throughout the evening.
The police have said that the male’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident and enquiries remain ongoing.
Police have said: “there is no wider risk to the public. Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting log 2142 of 02/04/2025.”
