Kubrick Stare

From Monday March 31st onwards, band of the week on Tameside Radio's Local Music Spotlight feature are Kubrick Stare. The four-piece band formed in 2021 and consist of lead singer Libby Trelford, drummer Joe Egerton, bass player Michael Shaw and guitarist Andy Beaveridge. The band's aim is to 'Bring back the alternative and grunge era using crunchy guitar tones and deep vocals, to create diverse sounds that are a contrast to new music'. Between the four members, their influences come from Classic Rock, Motown, Grunge, Indie, Pop, Punk, Jazz, Metal, Funk and Reggae, meaning Kubrick Stare really do create a sound of their own. Songs released so far include 'Killing Caroline', 'Sinking', 'Juice Break', and 'Porcelain', and are available on Spotify. The bands next live gig takes place on Sunday May 4^th at the Hop and Hazlewood in Tyldesley.
