Gracie May
From Monday May 19th onwards, artist of the week on Tameside Radio's Local Music Spotlight feature is Gracie May. The 17-year-old singer, songwriter and guitarist has been playing live music for almost three years, and is influenced by the likes of Amy Macdonald, The Cranberries, Sam Fender, and Catfish and the Bottlemen. Gracie started out playing in local venues and at local events and soon made a name for herself as a rising star. Her love for music is obvious to see, once saying 'I have learned so much since starting, I've met some wonderful people on the way, and I am still excited for the journey ahead. Music has always been my passion as it makes me smile and, more importantly, makes other people smile'. Singles released so far include 'Don't Wish Your Life Away' and 'Star-Crossed', both are available on Spotify. Gracie is a great person to be around and brilliant live, and has a huge future ahead. Gracie will also be playing live at our next Indie Rock n Roll Local Music Spotlight Live night at Whittles at Tokyo Live Music Venue in Oldham on Friday August 8th. Tickets are on sale now.
