Two people charged with a string of crimes

Two people have been charged with a number of offences in Greater Manchester and Derbyshire.

Tyler Semplis, 18, of Standish Walk, Denton, Tameside, and a 15-year-old male from Stockport have both been charged with burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and two counts of handling stolen goods as well as numerous driving offences, including driving while disqualified, driving without insurance and driving without due care and attention.

The teenager has also been charged with making off without payment.

They will both appear at Tameside Magistrates' Court on Saturday 16 October.

A third male, aged 18, has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

The incidents are believed to have happened between 21 September and 13 October 2021 in the Tameside and Oldham areas as well as Glossop.

Detective Sergeant Christopher Dean, of GMP's Tameside district, said: "We understand and appreciate the impact that being a victim of crime has on our communities and we are keen to work with our partners and neighbouring police forces to share information and take a proactive approach to tackling this type of crime."
