Motorists are being warned that resurfacing works will begin on Ashton Old Road from Monday (21 September) until the end of November.
A full road closure will be in place from Pin Mill Brow/Fairfield Street to Viaduct Street (eastbound only, away from Manchester towards Ashton-Under-Lyne).
Along with the ongoing Great Ancoats Street work, Transport for Greater Manchester say a significant impact is expected and ask drivers to avoid the impacted areas by travelling along Alan Turing Way or use the Metrolink instead.
The Ashton Old Road works will mean that the 219 and 220 services will be diverted over the coming weeks (via Hyde Road and Pottery Lane).
