Oldham Council made £398,000 in parking fines last year, it has been revealed.
Councils in England brought in £1.9 billion in parking charges with a third coming from fines given for parking offences, driving in bus lanes or stopping in the yellow box at a junction.
Around England, councils brought in a staggering £1.9 billion in parking charges, according to Government figures.
Manchester made £7.3 million with Bolton also raking in a million.
The data, released by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, shows incomes from on-street penalty charges around the region last year. This is how it looks:

- Rochdale - £966,000
- Oldham - £623,000
- Trafford - £549,000
- Stockport - £435,000
