Older adults, healthcare professionals and carers are being invited to attend the Step-Up Falls Prevention Conference, a community event focused on reducing fall risks and promoting healthier ageing.
The conference will take place this Thursday 30th April from 11am to 3pm at Academy HQ, Stalybridge, SK15 1SD. Organisers say the event will offer practical advice and support for anyone interested in improving strength, confidence and wellbeing in later life.
A range of activities and information will be available on the day, including guest speakers, wellbeing stalls, functional fitness MOTs, exercise taster sessions and general advice. Attendees will also receive a free goodie bag and lunch.
The event is aimed at empowering people to stay active and informed while helping to reduce the risk of falls, which can have a serious impact on independence and quality of life.
For more information, organisers can be contacted on 0161 308 5000.
