Although St George's Day has been moved to Monday 28th April due to Easter weekend being so close, many places across Tameside still celebrated on the 23rd!
Waterloo and Taunton Conservative Club celebrated by holding an afternoon of live entertainment for its members over the weekend.
The club based on Oldham Road in Ashton-under-Lyne was decked out in union bunting.
Members got involved waving flags in support.
Club Chairman Leon Tamcken dressed in full costume as St George to welcome members to the festivities.
The club also had entertainment by local performers Kurt McPartland and Sophie Jones.
Waterloo and Taunton Conservative Club posted on Facebook: “From all ‘the club’ team including committee, trustees, stewardess and bar team we would like to wish you all a Happy St George's Day.”
