For 42 years, Tameside Canal Boat Trust has been a lifeline for our community, offering specialised boat trips on their adapted narrowboat, StillWaters.
The Trust provide vital support to individuals with disabilities, mental health challenges, veterans, and those facing social isolation. Their educational boat trips for schools bring waterway history to life.
However, escalating operational costs, including mandatory waterway licenses, mooring fees and survey fees, now threaten their existence.
This means that countless individuals will be denied the therapeutic benefits of the boat trips and a crucial piece of local heritage will be lost.
They have set up a JustGiving page for anyone who can support the charity. https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/ellen-kelly?utm_term=A73GZaMjE
Your generous donation will help keep Tameside's heritage afloat and ensure that our vital services continue to reach those who need them most.
