Hyde-based Sandwich Angels is appealing to the generosity of Tameside folk to help boost its supplies which are currently running low.
The community group of volunteers, which formed five years ago and receives no government funding, help to feed the hungry and homeless of Tameside and wider Greater Manchester.
It says it has had an increase in cases recently and needs donations of the following items:
- Children's yoghurts
- Cheese
- Butter
- Eggs
- Coffee
- Tea
- Longlife milk
- Baked beans
- Hot dogs
- Meatballs
- Frey Bentos Pie
- Tinned peas
- Tinned carrots
- Gravy
- Tinned potatoes or packets of Smash potatoes
- Soup
- Curry sauce
- Rice
- Pasta sauce
- Crisps
- Fizzy drinks
- Chocolates
- Frozen items
- Children's size pizzas
- Chicken nuggets
- Oven chips
- Beef burgers
- Veggie burgers
- Bananas
- Satsumas
- Apples
- Potatoes
- Greens
