A 23-year-old man from Denton, who attempted to hide behind his sofa from police, has been charged with assault and harassment offences.
Kyle Souter was arrested yesterday (August 18) at his home on Yew Tree Road by officers from GMP Tameside's Neighbourhood Task Force.
Named as a ‘high-risk domestic offender’, Souter was charged with assault by beating, two counts of assaulting a person thereby occasioning them to actual bodily harm and two counts of harassment and breach of a restraining order.
Souter was remanded in custody and appeared at the Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Thursday (August 19), where he was further remanded in custody until August 23 when he will appear for a trial.
