Work is set to begin at Tameside Hospital next month on the construction of a new car park.
The site, on Mellor Road, will replace a dirt track behind the boiler house to create 92 spaces, including six disabled bays and two electric vehicle charging points.
Work is set to begin on Wednesday, March 4, and will take approximately 10 weeks to complete.
The council and Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust say that they are developing additional parking to meet the future demands of patients, visitors and staff.
As well as the parking, it will include LED lighting with clearly marked bays.
