Shoppers will face travel disruption today as the Metrolink line between Ashton and Manchester Piccadilly undergoes repairs.
The planned track maintenance means no trams will run to or from Tameside all day on Sunday January 26.
There will be rail replacement buses every 15 minutes along the route, as well as the regular 216, 219, 230 and 231 Bee Network services from Manchester to Ashton.
A statement from Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) said the Bee Network buses: “May provide a faster or cheaper journey option than the replacement bus, depending on your destination.
“Please note: Tram tickets are only accepted on the replacement bus and will not be accepted on numbered bus services.”
Etihad Campus will be the only Metrolink stop not served by replacement buses as there is ‘no appropriate road access’, with TfGM advising passengers to use Velopark instead.
The last replacement bus from Piccadilly Gardens will depart at 23:12, with the final one of the evening leaving Ashton at 23:50.
