A man wanted by police and deemed to be a 'high risk domestic violence offender' has been arrested on the M67 motorway.
The 52-year-old was arrested at around 7.30am on Monday morning (29 March) and is currently in police custody.
GMP's Tameside District Tasking Team had received information linking him to a white Mercedes Sprinter van, which was stopped on the hard shoulder of the M67 near Denton and the man was in the front passenger seat.
The man was wanted after being named as being responsible for domestic assault, theft and being engaged in controlling and coercive behaviour.
