A man was rescued from a burning house in the Hurst Cross area of Ashton last night, March 4.
Three fire engines from Oldham, Stalybridge and Ashton fire stations were called to the property on Broadoak Road, opposite the Amaani restaurant, shortly before 7pm and crews were in attendance for around one hour and 30 minutes.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish the fire and the rescued resident was taken to hospital.
