A man was arrested in Ashton yesterday, July 30, after police spotted a suspected drug deal taking place.
Officers from GMP's Violence Reduction Team noticed a man "making an exchange" with another individual on Russell Street in the Hurst Cross area.
The offender was detained and upon a section 23 drug search, the officers found around 100 bags of cannabis in his rucksack.
He was subsequently arrested for possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class B.
