Lily’s of Ashton to host Nepal Appeal buffet

Lily’s Indian Vegetarian Cuisine in Ashton-under-Lyne is inviting the local community to come together for a special fundraising buffet in support of the Nepal Appeal.

Taking place on Monday, 14th September, the event will run from 12pm to 7pm, with the last seating at 6pm. Customers will be able to “pay what you want”, with every penny donated going directly to the Nepal Appeal to help people affected during this devastating time.

The event has a particularly personal meaning for the Lily’s team, as some members of staff are from Nepal and have family members who are still living there. The special buffet has been organised as a way for the restaurant, its staff, and the wider community to come together and raise much-needed funds.

Guests can enjoy a selection of freshly prepared Indian vegetarian dishes, including:

• Lentil Kachori
• Vegetable Samosa
• Coriander & Chilli Chutney
• Chana Masala
• Shahi Paneer
• Punjabi Puri
• Tarka Dall
• Jeera Rice
• Chocolate Barfi

Drinks will be available to purchase separately.

Importantly, donations are cash only, as the money raised will not be processed through the restaurant’s business. The appeal is intended to ensure that the money donated goes directly towards supporting those in need.

The Nepal Appeal buffet is more than a meal, it is an opportunity for the Ashton-under-Lyne community to show its support for people facing a devastating situation. It will also help a local restaurant and its Nepalese staff make a difference to communities close to their hearts.
