Tameside Council has partnered with the Tame Valley Mountain Bike Association, Cycling UK and British Cycling to put together a fun and energetic project for outdoor activity enthusiasts.
Whether you're a casual cyclist, passionate horse rider, or avid walker, the Tame Valley Loop (TVL) caters to all enthusiasts.
The TVL offers three distinct routes tailored to various skill levels: a family-friendly option covering 3.5 miles, an intermediate route spanning 10 miles, and an advanced course extending over 18 miles.
The route combines existing pathways, off-road tracks and trails and makes a fantastic day ride.
For those seeking a challenge, the advanced route embarks from Stalybridge's heart, traversing tracks along the scenic hillsides overlooking Stalybridge and Mossley, reaching as far as Greenfield in Oldham, and then looping back to Stalybridge on the opposite side of the Tame Valley.
To launch the TVL an event was organised by the Tame Valley Mountain Bike Association in March, 2022.
