Youngsters across Tameside with a keen interest in drama are being sought for an amateur production of 'Legally Blonde' at Hyde Festival Theatre later this year.
The award-winning Drama Department production company are looking for 11 to 18 year olds to audition to be a part of the cast for the musical, based on the book by Amanda Brown and the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer motion picture.
It's set to be performed at the Corporation Street theatre between November 19 and 21.
Depending on Covid-19 restrictions, auditions are set to take place over consecutive Fridays on July 3 and 10.
Michael Raymond, from The Drama Department, said: "Zoom has become a popular forum to hold our Musical Theatre sessions so, if needs be, we can hold the auditions via Zoom.
"If restrictions aren’t lifted by September, then we will simply move the show dates. We keen to make plans and give everyone, especially the youngsters, something really fun to look forward to.
"We’re in rehearsals at the Moments for Disney's The Little Mermaid with our junior members, which will (fingers crossed) be staged at the end of September."
You can register your interest for 'Legally Blonde' by emailing enquiries@thedramadept.co.uk.
