Fields of Gold Festival returns to Ashton-under-Lyne this weekend for two days of live music, tribute acts, and a buzzing festival atmosphere.

Thousands of music fans are expected to turn up at Tameside Stadium on Friday, September 4th and Saturday, September 5th.

The festival gets underway on Friday from 5pm, with music running until 11pm. Saturday’s action begins at midday and continues through until 11pm.

Attendees can expect tributes to some of the biggest names in British music, with a packed bill spanning Britpop, indie, rock, and classic pop. Friday’s highlights include tributes to Gerry Cinnamon, The Courteeners, and the Beatles (with a Britpop twist).

Saturday promises another big singalong, with tributes to The Killers, The Smiths, Oasis, Madness, James, UB40, and the Happy Mondays. The Two Connors and Mr Wilson’s Second Liners will also be appearing.

As well as the live acts, a host of DJs will be playing across the weekend. Including Dave Sweetmore, Paul Eden, and Tameside Radio's own Laura Beth and Cameron Kennedy, who will be DJing on Saturday both on the main stage and at the Silent Disco.

Fields of Gold takes place at Tameside Stadium, on Richmond Street in Ashton-under-Lyne (OL7 9HG). The stadium is close to IKEA Ashton and just a short walk from Ashton West Metrolink stop. The venue is also easily accessible from the M60, making it convenient for visitors travelling from across Greater Manchester and beyond.

With live performances, DJs, food stalls, multiple bars, and a big-top marquee for shelter in case it rains, Fields of Gold 2026 promises a full weekend of singing, dancing, nostalgia, and a host of crowd-pleasing anthems.

Tickets for the event can be purchased from the Fields of Gold website.
