Denton family firm Vaughan and Lester have thanked everyone for their kind words of condolence following the sad death of Jackie Lester.
Jackie sadly passed away on 22 December after a short illness.
Jackie was described as being ‘at the heart of Vaughan and Lester’ for more than 50 years, as well as being a ‘devoted mum, grandma, great-grandma, sister and friend to all who work at the business’.
For many years, Jackie was a familiar figure with her sons, John and Barry, at the shop on Ashworth Street in Denton.
Although not at the shop in recent years she was still a key figure with the family business behind the scenes.
Her funeral service was held at Dukinfield Crematorium last Tuesday (11 January).
