Tickets are now on sale for an extra show added to the sold-out Comedy Weekender in Stalybridge.
Due to incredibly popular demand, visitors can now purchase tickets to a matinee show on the Saturday afternoon (18 July) at Stalybridge Victoria Market Hall. Doors will be opened at 4pm, with first act on at 4:30pm. The event will finish at 6:45pm
The event highlights Stalybridge’s ongoing reputation as a destination for high-quality entertainment, drawing visitors from across surrounding areas. With a mixed programme of comedy, music and cultural events, it is quickly becoming a favourable hot spot.
The afternoon’s lineup is brimming with a mixture of well-known names from the Friday and Saturday evenings:
- Lucy Beaumont (Star of Taskmaster, Celebrity Traitors and more)
- Josh Pugh (from Viral Star, Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week)
- Justin Moorhouse (a Phoenix Nights favourite, Live at The Apollo and BBC Radio 4 regular)
- Phil Ellis (Edinburgh Comedy Award winner and star of Taskmaster)
With just 250 seats available each night, tickets are expected to sell quickly.
Tameside Council’s Executive Member for Lifelong Learning and Culture, Cllr Leanne Feeley, said: “We are so excited to squeeze in another show at the Comedy Weekender. It is absolutely fantastic to hear how quickly the tickets are selling out, showing how well-known and highly rated they are among residents and visitors. Stalybridge is constantly developing and becoming such a popular destination for such a range of activities and events. Join us for an unmissable show, right here in Stalybridge!”
