It's a tough life being a Canada Goose - even when you've got Stamford Park Boating Lake to enjoy!
It may not have been -23 degrees centigrade on the Ashton / Stalybridge border as in Aberdeenshire on Wednesday (10 February), when the lowest temperatures for 25 years were recorded.
But with temperatures struggling to make it much above zero locally, there was no time for the ice to melt on the boating lake.
Which made for perfect pictures like this one, although not the greatest of environments if you are a goose.
Many snapped photos as they passed by after a brisk walk in Stamford Park in the sunshine, where remarkably, the ice cream van was still kept busy serving children more than happy to brave the icy cold!
