Ashton youngster Lily Harrison was lucky enough to attend the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in London in June this year with her family.
She was so excited about going, that she wrote a letter to Her Majesty The Queen, saying she couldn’t wait to see her.
In her letter, Lily congratulated the Queen on her jubilee year and also asked how many corgis she had, sharing that she has a dog called Pippa.
Lily was delighted to receive a letter from Buckingham Palace in August, thanking her for her good wishes.
The youngster was heartbroken to learn of the Queen’s passing last Thursday along with the rest of her family.
