Residents at Kings Park Care Home, in Hurst Cross in Ashton, are appealing for donations of wool.
The residents use the wool to knit hats for babies at Tameside Maternity and NeoNatal units, plus hats and scarfs for children under five for Tameside schools, including forestry schools.
The knitting doesn’t stop there though, with residents also creating hats for the ladies and gents using the Town House in Ashton.
If you can spare any wool to enable the good work to continue, you can drop balls in at the care home or call 0161 343 4733.
