Armed thugs threatened a shop worker and stole alcohol and cigarettes in a robbery in Ashton earlier this month.

Two men entered the Go Local Store on Wellington Road just after 10pm on Thursday 9 September.

They threatened a member of staff who, while not injured, was understandably left shaken by the ordeal.

They took cigarettes and alcohol before fleeing in a white Ford Transit van.

Greater Manchester Police say that no arrests have so far been made and enquiries are ongoing.

Anyone with information should contact police online, if able, or via 101 quoting incident 3548 of 09/09/2021.

Details can be passed to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
