Gwen Boon celebrated her 100th birthday with a 'fabulous' party at Auden Care House in Audenshaw last Friday.
There were decorations, a buffet of food and a singer to mark the occasion.
Gwen also received a birthday card from Buckingham Palace.
Her generosity of spirit is something her friends and family love about her.

Gwen worked at Droylsden Willow Wood shop when it opened in 1994 and gave her time to volunteering at Tameside Hospital, which was known as Ashton General at the time.
Gwen’s daughter, Gill, added: “She’s a lovely lady and got lots of presents on her birthday. I don’t think she could believe she was 100!”
Family, friends and staff all raised a glass to wish Gwendelene well for the future.
