Two wins in two for GNE

Glossop North End made it two wins from two on Tuesday, with a heard fought 1-0 victory at Cheadle Town.

Jack Hopkins’ second half strike was enough to see Richard Brodie’s side take all three points.

“Magnificent is the word I’ll say,” said Brodie when asked on his thoughts on the performance.

“There’s been times since I’ve been here where we’ve had a great performance and haven’t gone and backed it up, but we did that tonight.

“We frustrated the life out of them, and I think that was apparent, they couldn’t get through us.”

They will be hoping for the same result this weekend as they travel to Park Road once again for a Macron Cup First Round tie.
