Teams discover FA Trophy opponents

The draw for the FA Trophy third round was made earlier today.

As we reported on earlier, Curzon Ashton's comeback against Chester on Saturday - a 2-1 victory - has been rewarded with another home tie, this time against Alfreton Town on December 18.

Meanwhile, Ashton United are set to lock horns with Guiseley in Tuesday night's rearranged fixture, and the winner of the tie will be rewarded with a trip to National League outfit Chesterfield.

Stalybridge Celtic are on the road on Tuesday evening and make the trip to Farsley Celtic for a rearranged fixture. The winner of that tie will host the winner of Southport and Darlington. Both sides compete in the National League North - one division above Celtic - with Southport in 15th spot and Darlington in 11th.

The winner of the third round tie will pocket £4500 in prize money.
