Tameside open campaign with victory at Grangetown

Tameside Netball Club began their season in Premier 1 with a hard-fought 48-54 victory at Grangetown Sunday.

The squad is captained by Ally Thomas and will be hoping to better last season's fifth place finish. 

Tameside make their home debut on Sunday against Cumberland at the Belle Vue Leisure Centre.

In other news at the club, a string of players have been selected to take part in the Manchester Thunder Performance Programme. Grace Hall, Cerys Wotjan, Hanae Sbai,  Zoe Clifton, Libby Wolstenholme, Emma Fletcher, Rachel Carter, Laura Mallinder, Grace Mills, Amelia Veevers, Ella Standring and Millie Sander  will embark on the programme which aims to inspire and develop the next generation of leading netballers for Thunder, the north west and England.
