Tameside Netball Club Players Celebrate A Memorable 2022

Tameside Netball club players have been letting their hair down as a mini break over the festive period commences.

The club, which has achieved great success across a range of age groups during 2022, has organised a number of Christmas parties for its players over the past few weeks.

The festivities provide an opportunity for the girls to socialise away from court, whilst looking ahead to what will hopefully be an equally successful 2023.

Jane Chisnall, who has been associated with the club in various capacities for 25 years, found her efforts rewarded with a prestigious honour in September. As part of the Active Tameside Sport Awards, Jane scooped the Unsung Hero Award and was inundated with messages of congratulations upon receiving the accolade.

Elsewhere, long-serving coach Nick Hill has also been featured in Reporter Sport on numerous occasions for his efforts to nurture up and coming talent. Nick is also nearing the end of a personal challenge to complete a 5km run, every day, in the month of December. He is raising money for Macmillan, and has already exceeded his target of £200, with current donations totalling £220.
