Stalybridge Launch Cricket Nets Crowdfunder

Stalybridge Cricket Club has confirmed that planning permission has been approved to build new, outdoor nets.

In a bid to secure the nets, the club, which competes in the Derbyshire and Cheshire Cricket League, is hosting a Hawaiian beach themed family day, on Saturday 23 July, to launch the eight-week Crowdfunder scheme.

The event is open to everyone and it will begin with the first team T20 Cup game against Dove Holes at 1pm, followed by beach themed games, a DJ and cocktail shack from 4pm.

In related news, the club’s under 13s have qualified for finals day.
