Robins fans urged to register interest for Stafford clash

Fans planning to attend Ashton United’s opening league fixture at Stafford Rangers this weekend need to register their interest in advance.

A statement on the Supporters’ Club Twitter account said: “ Unfortunately, Stafford Rangers haven’t yet organised an online ticketing provider so we have come up with a plan that hopefully will guarantee entry to the ground for those Robins fans wishing to travel. Here’s the plan:

1. Register your name and telephone number with Cat Tomlinson via email to cat@ashtonunited.co.uk by latest 5pm Thursday 17th September.

2. Cat will collate a list of those attending (up to a maximum of 90 people) and those on the list will be guaranteed entry to the game (pay when you get there). She will forward the list to the Stafford secretary (GDPR complaint of course).

After 5pm on Thursday Stafford will sell tickets locally and, on the day of the game, cash admission with track and trace procedures in place, first come first served until the 600 capacity is reached.
