Richardson leaves Lilywhites for Ramsbottom

Mossley defender Ben Richardson has announced his departure from the club - less than 72 hours after scoring a screamer in the Lilywhites' 2-0 win against Marine.

He has opted to re-sign for former club Ramsbottom United, who are currently second in the BetVictor North West and one point below leaders Workington.

Ben, who re-joined Mossley over summer for another spell, tweeted the following statement on Tuesday afternoon.

Ben has also played for Glossop North End - a club he helped to reach the FA Vase Final at Wembley Stadium in 2009.

Mossley have claimed back-to-back victories and travel to Widnes on Saturday. Dave Wild's side are currently 10th in the table and eight points outside the playoffs. They also had one point deducted for fielding an ineligible player earlier in the season.
