Leasing.Com Trophy: Fleetwood Town v Oldham Athletic

Oldham Athletic travel to Fleetwood Town this evening for a tie in the Leasing.Com Trophy.

Latics enter the game having progressed to the FA Cup second round after beating National League North Gateshead 2-1 on Sunday.

Deano Maamria's side have been handed a home tie against the winner of Salford City and Burton Albion.

Fleetwood, who ply their trade in League One under former Manchester City midfielder Joey Barton, are currently fifth in the table and beat Barnet 2-0 in the FA Cup on Sunday, thanks to efforts from Ched Evans and a 90th minute curling strike from Ashley Hunter.

Fleetwood will qualify for the knockout stages with a win against Oldham. A draw with a win on penalties will also secure qualification.

Oldham beat Liverpool Under 21’s 3-2 but lost 3-0 to Accrington Stanley.

If Oldham qualify, the Leasing.com Trophy Round Two Draw will take place on Saturday 16 November, live on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday from 2pm.
