Hyde United have parted company with manager Michael Clegg.
The 42-year-old leaves Ewen Fields by way of mutual consent, following a difficult start to the 2026/27 campaign.
Clegg joined the Tigers in January and guided the club to NPL Premier safety, recording standout victories against FC United and Hednesford Town along the way.
But the former Ashton United boss has endured a stop start season so far, having won just four of his opening 15 matches, and departs with Hyde languishing in 14th in the table.
Following Clegg's departure - which was announced on Wednesday morning (October 21) - club chairman Steve Hartley commented:
''These decisions are never easy, and we will be forever grateful to Michael for keeping us in the division, but having had a chat after Saturday's game and with the position we are in, we agreed that the club needed to take a different direction.
"We have parted on good terms, and Michael and his staff will always be welcome at the Project Solar Stadium.''
Elsewhere, Clegg's assistant, Joe Bunney, has also departed the club.
