Hyde grab last gasp equaliser

BetVictor Premier Division: Hyde United 1-1 Morpeth Town

In a game that looked like it was destined for 0-0, an action-packed injury time meant both teams got on the score sheet and the game ended 1-1.

Hyde edged the first half and had chances to take the lead but failed to find the back of the net. The best chance was through Turner and he was unfortunate as his effort was scrambled away off the line by keeper Lowson.

The talking point of the first half was the decision by the referee to book Dyche when it seemed like he won the ball against Hodgson, this would come into play later on.

Morpeth had the better of the early goings in the second half but were met with a resolute tigers defence who managed to see out numerous attempts.

The game turned on 88 minutes when Dyche received his second yellow for pulling back Hodgson, but this raised questions again about the card in the first half. The visitors then sensed an opportunity to nick a late winner and they thought they were heading home with all three points when substitute Ramsey poked home in the box.

But it was Hyde who secured a point in the last minute of injury time when Pratt found the bottom corner after getting on the end of Fagbola’s header in the box.
