Hyde are up for the cup

Hyde United return to action this evening, this time at Kidsgrove Athletic in the Integro League Cup third round.

The Tigers enter the game having shocked promotion hopefuls Lancaster City 5-2 on Saturday.

Tom Pratt stole the headlines with a hat-trick.

Despite wholesale changes over summer, which included former manager Darren Kelly stepping down and being replaced by current boss Dave MacGurk, Hyde have done well this season and are currently eight points outside the BetVictor Premier playoffs.

They are also one game away from the Cheshire Senior Cup Final, but standing in their way is a tough trip to National League North outfit Chester.

Tonight's hosts are one division below Hyde and compete in the BetVictor South East. They are currently eight points outside the playoffs and enter the game having lost 1-0 at Sutton Coldfield Town on Saturday.
