Hyde United have strengthened between the sticks with the signing of talented goalkeeper Jordan Eastham, who returns to Ewen Fields following his departure from Ashton United.
The 24-year-old made 20 appearances for The Tigers during a successful loan spell in the 2024/25 season, and is back on a permanent basis after two years away at Hurst Cross.
Regarded as one of the most reliable goalkeepers in the division, the Blackburn Rovers academy graduate will provide Michael Clegg’s side with a safe pair of hands for the upcoming 26/27 campaign.
Speaking on Eastham’s arrival, Clegg commented:
“A permanent keeper was a priority to bring stability to the team. We know Jordan, and we know exactly how good he is.
“With his previous experience here and his existing chemistry with the players, he’ll slot straight back in and get right to work.”
Eastham added:
“I’m glad to be back.
“I spoke to Cleggy at the start of the off season about his plans, and it’s something I wanted to be a part of.
“I’m looking forward to the season.”
