High Lane were equally dominant, with A. Melnyk’s superb 120 (127 balls, 13 fours, 3 sixes) leading them to 254/7 before dismissing Charlesworth for 142, J. McCarthy taking 5 for 49.
Dinting claimed a solid 90-run win over Dove Holes, defending 222/8 by bowling their opponents out for 132.
Tintwistle edged a high-scoring contest against Whaley Bridge, posting 247/9 with contributions from C. Harris (59) and K. Brathwaite (70*), before restricting Whaley Bridge to 227 despite L. Jones’ 93, sealing a 20-run victory.
In Division 2, Buxworth chased down 197 to beat Pott Shrigley by 4 wickets, led by D. Moore’s 78, while W. Barlow (53*) and S. Howard (51) had earlier set a competitive total.
Dinting snatched a dramatic 1-wicket win over Dove Holes after chasing 143, with A. Critchlow’s 52 a key contribution in the first innings.
Hayfield edged a tight game against Hollingworth, chasing 179 with 3 wickets to spare, despite T. Conway’s 86 and an outstanding 7 for 46 from H. Flack.
