Daddies plan next challenge for the Running Bee Foundation

Daddies Escape Running Club are preparing for their next big challenge to raise funds for the Running Bee Foundation.

Following their 40-mile run from Denton to Liverpool in August, the fitness fanatics are currently training for an even bigger challenge on December 7.

Club captain Liam Mellon will be joined by a number of other members to complete a 50-mile run from Denton to Blackpool in aid of the Foundation,  which was established in November 2018 and aims to champion health and wellbeing initatives, promote the benefits of an active lifestyle and help in the fight to reduce childhood obesity. It does this by making funding accessible to all parts of the communities which they serve, with no restriction on age, financial status, religion or gender.

The Daddies have so far raised £745 towards a £1,000 target and will be confident off surpassing that upon completion in December. The run is just 2.4 miles less than what is needed to complete back-to-back marathons!
