Curzon forced to replay cup tie after rule breach

December’s Manchester Premier Cup quarter-final tie between Stalybridge Celtic and Curzon Ashton will be replayed after a rule breach, Manchester FA have confirmed.

The match took place on Tuesday 17 December at Bower Fold, ending in a 4-1 win to the Nash, but following a breach of competition rule 18.02, the match will now be replayed in its entirety.

The rule states- substitutions are allowed from any 3 players from a maximum of 5 names on the match form.

After visitors Curzon fielded five substitutes on the night, a protest was received and the appropriate action has been taken.

The new date for this fixture has been set as Tuesday 14 January.
