Chadderton Face Another Cup Game

Chadderton are in Macron Cup first-round action this weekend as they travel to Wythenshawe Amateurs with the hope of putting a good run together.

Chadderton were in impressive form in September but have lost all of their October games so far. That run also saw them knocked out of three cup competitions in a row so the Chad won’t be looking to make it a fourth. 

Chadderton’s last game was a disappointing 3-1 loss at home to Guisborough Town in the FA Vase. Chadderton played quite well in the game and they will be disappointed to lose with a scoreline that suggests otherwise.

Their opponents Wythenshawe have been in a poor run of form lately as they have only won one game in their last six outings. Their last game, however, was a 3-2 victory at home to Stockport Town and they will be hoping that will provide a much-needed boost going into this weekend’s game. 

Chadderton could be forgiven for having one eye on Tuesday’s league game against Shelley FC at home as they look to keep pace with the promotion-chasing teams.
