Celtic bid farewell to Bakkor

Stalybridge Celtic striker Scott Baker has left the club after a total of 117 aeparances for the Bower Fold outfit.

The 27-year-old scored five goals in 30 games this season.

Scott, who has also featured for Curzon Ashton, made his debut for Celtic in August 2018 and scored his first goal for the club in September 2018 in a 3-2 home victory over Bamber Bridge. He spent a period with Witton Albion before returning over the summer of 2021.

Celtic made the trip to Stafford Rangers on Saturday for a clash in the NPL Premier Division but were beaten 2-0 not on the afternoon. 

Joe Cuff opened the scoring for the hosts just beyond the half hour mark before Thomas Tonks wrapped the game up form the penalty spot with 15 minutes remaining. 

Celtic, 13th in the table, return to action this weekend with a shot trip to Ashton United in 17th.
