Bloods breeze through

Droylsden eased into the semi-finals of the Manchester Premier Cup on Tuesday with a 4-0 thrashing of West Didsbury & Chorlton.

With both sides licking their wounds after disappointing FA Vase exits, it was The Bloods who came out on top thanks to another Cody Artwell hat trick.

Artwell opened the scoring on 22 minutes before the equally prolific Nellson Van gave the hosts a 2-0 half time lead.

Artwell wasted no time in adding a third after the break, netting within 60 seconds of the restart, before completing his hat trick six minutes later to cap off a resounding victory.

The win sets up an all-Tameside semi-final, as The Bloods travel to Hurst Cross to face Ashton United.

Fellow Tamesiders Curzon Ashton await the winner, having already sealed their place in the final with a win over Mossley.
