Fatima Women’s Association is hosting a new project this week to help young women build their confidence and brush up on their digital skills.
The female only sessions have been arranged for 15–21-year-olds and are being held at Marlborough Resource Centre on Marlborough Street in Glodwick.
During the week, participants will get the chance to earn 16 UCAS points to boost their university applications with a nationally recognised qualification that showcases their dedication and creativity.
There will be an opportunity to learn to create engaging online content, using editing software which can be promoted on social media platforms including Tik Tok, Instagram, and more.
Young women can build their confidence through leadership and will get to learn to take charge of their own arts project, plan events and collaborate with others. This will enable them to become confident leaders in their community and beyond.
If that were not enough, students will be encouraged to develop their entrepreneurial skills by setting up a digital platform to share and sell their handmade creations such as DIY jewellery pieces, which will help build their confidence.
Refreshments will be provided. Anyone wanting further information should call Shabana Parven, on 07877 469 560.
