A 17-year-old boy has been charged with several offences in connection with a stabbing in Shaw in which two people were injured.
Police were called to reports of an assault on Longley Street at around 4.52pm on Thursday, February 5 when a woman suffered minor injuries, and a man received serious injuries requiring hospital treatment.
The teenager has been charged with Section 18 Assault in relation to this investigation and was remanded by police to appear at court yesterday (February 9).
He has also been charged with further identified offences, including: robbery (x2), witness intimidation, threatening a person with a blade or sharply pointed article in a public place and possession of a knife blade or sharply pointed article in a public place.
