A spectacular festival with dazzling lanterns, dancers and drummers are all set to light up Oldham town centre in the coming weeks.
Illuminate Light Night 2025 is back and promises to be the best ever with something for the entire family.
The free event returns for its eighth year on Saturday, February 22 and Sunday, February 23, 2025, and features stunning light installations, interactive activities and performances from talented artists across Oldham and beyond.
Featuring a vibrant parade through the town centre, a host of dazzling lanterns, dancers, drummers and giant puppets to hold the attention of the young visitors, led by carnival specialists Global Grooves, will also be on offer.
Gallery Oldham will be giving people a free chance to craft their own colourful lanterns to feature in the parade. The workshop is being held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 10am.
The event on Sunday is being held at the Northern Roots, Kings Road, near Alexandra Park, from 6.30pm-9.30pm.
